Booking a venue you have only seen in photos is hard. That is why we always recommend coming in person. A tour of Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey, gives you a real feel for the space, the light, and the way an event moves from one moment to the next. Come with your questions and, if you can, your partner or planner, so you can compare notes afterward. Here is what your visit will look like, and what to pay attention to while you are here.
Walking Through Grand Marquis on Your Tour
When you arrive at our home on Route 9 South, we will walk you through the spaces the way your guests will experience them. You will see the glass atrium, the ballrooms, and the grounds, and we will talk through how your day flows from start to finish. Ask questions freely. This is your chance to picture the whole event.
The Two Ballrooms You Will See
Most couples start with the rooms, and we have two very different ones. The Dome Room sits under a dome ceiling with a circular marble dance floor at its center, floor-to-ceiling windows behind your backdrop, and a private patio just outside for a quiet break. It holds up to 250 guests, which makes it a warm fit for mid-size celebrations. The Marquis Ballroom is the larger of the two, built in the Grand European style and able to seat up to 800 guests with plenty of room during cocktail hour. Both rooms share towering Roman Corinthian marble columns and crystal chandeliers, and the columns can shift colors to match your theme.
The Grounds and Where Your Photos Happen
Take your time outside, because this is where a lot of your pictures will come from. Our grounds include waterfalls, manicured landscaping, and decorative marble flooring, with a glass atrium that brings in soft natural light. We will point out the spots couples tend to love, so you can plan your portrait timeline before the day arrives. Dressing suites are on site too, which keeps everyone close and relaxed while you get ready.
What Is Included When You Book
One of the most useful parts of the tour is talking through what comes with your event. Your booking includes a full cocktail hour with butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, cold and hot food stations, and a premium open bar for the entire event. Dinner brings a first course and a choice of four entrées served tableside, followed by several dessert options and your wedding cake. We also provide the practical pieces that hold a day together, including professional staff, event coordination, stemware, silverware, linens, tables, chairs, and valet parking for your guests. Seeing it laid out in one conversation makes the planning feel much simpler.
Ceremony, Reception, and Afterparty in One Place
If you would rather not move your guests around, ask us about hosting everything here. We offer indoor and outdoor ceremony options, plus spaces for pre-wedding moments, your reception, and the afterparty. Keeping it all under one roof means less travel for your families and a smoother timeline for you. During the tour, we will map out how each part connects, so you can see the full picture.
Bringing Your Own Caterer for Cultural Celebrations
For cultural and traditional weddings, we welcome outside caterers so your menu stays true to your family. We can share a list of trusted names, including Moghul Catering, Catering by Rasoi, and Chand Palace, and you are also free to bring your own licensed and insured caterer. The premium open bar and our full-service amenities stay in place either way, so nothing about your celebration feels compromised.
More Than Weddings
Grand Marquis is not only for weddings, and your tour can cover whatever you are planning. We host Bar and Bat Mitzvahs with gourmet custom catering and Kosher style options, Sweet Sixteens and Quinceañeras, milestone celebrations, and corporate events for larger groups. For proms and school nights, our dance floors light up with LED lighting that can match any theme. Tell us what you have in mind, and we will show you how the room would come together for it.
Come See It for Yourself
A photo can only tell you so much. The best way to know if Grand Marquis is right for your wedding or event is to stand in the rooms and picture your own day in them. We have been hosting weddings and celebrations across New York and New Jersey for over 30 years, and we would love to show you why families keep coming back.
